A small corner of Japan, made for Bristol.

The camellia flower is admired for its quiet elegance. It blooms without fuss, lasts through winter, and carries a sense of refinement that is understated rather than loud.
We chose the name because it reflects what we hope the shop feels like: calm, considered, and a place where everyday things are done well.
Our focus isn’t on trends or theatre — it’s on the food people actually eat at home in Japan, and the ingredients that make it possible. Fresh fish from the counter, miso and soy sauce for soup, good rice, a packet of noodles for a quick lunch, a cake to share with a friend over coffee.
We believe a shop should feel like a place you can return to. So we keep the space calm, the shelves considered, and the welcome genuine.
Freshness. Our seafood is offered fresh and selected according to availability, while sashimi is available on selected days in limited quantities. We choose products that move — nothing sits on the shelf longer than it should.
Care. We stock what we believe in, from household staples to sweets we enjoy ourselves. If you see it on our shelf, it’s because someone on our team thought it was worth being there.
Honest value. No theatre, no upsell. Fair prices on food you actually want to eat.

The easiest way to understand a shop is to walk in. You’ll find us on the ground floor of The Galleries, Bristol.
